Ute i skogen, vid en vacker fågelsjö ligger min eventlada vid Kiplingebergs gods. Bakom ladan finns en av Upplands bästa svampskogar med flera eftertraktade arter som många svampplockare letar efter utan framgång. Hösten 2026 kommer jag att hålla en svampkurs med en efterföljande middag över öppen eld på denna vackra plats.

We meet at a designated place in the area and head to the event site. There we go through basic facts about mushrooms and mushroom picking, how to learn to recognize different groups and where to actually find mushrooms. Then we go out into the forest for about 2 hours, looking for mushrooms and talking about characteristics and food value. We aim to pick 10-15 different species of edible mushrooms and when we have filled the baskets we return to the barn. There we light the fires and make coffee. With the coffee, the guests get to taste various processed mushroom dishes in the form of 'bites' - recipes that can be found in my book 'Mushroom book for food lovers'. 

Mushrooms don't just taste like mushrooms. The palette of flavors, aromas and textures is larger than many people dare to believe. After coffee, we run a mushroom tasting over an open fire, where participants get the opportunity to taste different species individually to discover the difference in taste and texture. 

We end the evening with a tasty mushroom dinner and enjoy the magical surroundings at dusk with forest tea and exciting honey.
