Fire Workshop and Fire Master Competition

Fire has been a natural center of human development. It has provided warmth, the ability to cook food and, not least, has been important in social contexts. There is something special about gathering around a fire, talking, laughing or just watching the dancing flames. But how do you actually build a fire from scratch using natural materials?

Forget matches, lighter fluid and charcoal. Here you will learn how to light a fire like a real Robinson. She'll go through the basics and show guests how to start a fire using natural materials. Have you never managed to get a fire going with a fire starter? We'll make sure to change that during the course.

Guests will also learn how to split wood with a knife and carve feather sticks, which are used to light fires in Bushcraft. Together, the guests practice the different steps and then compete in teams for the title of fire master. The team that catches fire the fastest and burns off a string wins!
