These hidden treasures are a fantastic resource for anyone looking to become more self-sufficient and adventurous with their food. Mushrooms are not just delicious and fun to forage—they’re also nutritional powerhouses packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and proteins.
If your foraging experience begins and ends with chanterelles, or you only feel confident identifying a handful of species, this course is your chance to expand your horizons! Imagine filling your basket with a variety of edible mushrooms while learning how to safely identify, harvest, and enjoy them. Put on your hiking boots, grab your basket, and get ready for a flavorful adventure in the heart of the forest!
We’ll meet at a scenic spot in a lush forest, where we’ll start by covering the essentials of mushroom foraging: how to identify different species, understand their characteristics, and discover where they’re likely to grow. Then, we’ll venture into the forest for about two hours, hunting for mushrooms and discussing their features, flavors, and culinary uses. Our goal is to collect 10–15 species of edible mushrooms, filling our baskets with nature’s finest.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Once we’re back, we’ll gather around an open fire to sample our harvest. You’ll be amazed by the diversity of flavors, textures, and aromas mushrooms have to offer. We’ll brew fresh coffee, enjoy snacks, and dive into the culinary magic of mushrooms together.

Valuable information:
The course will proceed regardless of the weather—we’ll dress appropriately for the conditions. If it rains, our outdoor cooking will take place in a covered, weather-protected area.
Don’t forget to bring a water bottle.
If you don’t have your own mushroom basket, no worries—baskets will be available to borrow.
